My scientific interests concentrate on the multi-level issues of settlement in the Bronze Age and Hallstatt period (settlement, settlement complex, settlement microregion, region). This applies in particular to questions of shaping the settlement space according to the aspect of social conditioning. For the purpose of the analysis I use in this case the GIS tools. Their wide range of applications in various branches of science related to widely understood human activity allows me to examine their analytical possibilities in creating a model reconstruction of settlement landscapes of prehistoric societies.
