Research interests:

Professor at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology PAS and professor emeritus of the Warsaw University. He gained his excavation experience in Poland, France, Italy, Norway, Jordan and Spain. His scientific interests concentrate on archaeological ceramology, the origins of the Polish state and of the European civilization. Since 2003 he carries out research projects regarding ethnic and cultural borderlands in the context of the forming of Central European states.
