Research interests:

Robert Ryndziewicz is an archaeologist whose main area of interest is the use of non-invasive methods in archaeological research. This results from a strong belief that the archaeological heritage is one of the non-renewable resources of the humanity and due to this fact it is necessary to minimalize the risk of its destroying. Recognizing the role of geophysical methods as a tool allowing to formulate complex research questions in archaeology he strives to combine it with other scientific branches in order to achieve - in the context of culture, landscape and climate - the widest possible knowledge on human past. In everyday practice he applies mainly the magnetic and GPR methods and processes the space data in GIS. He took part in several dozens of scientific projects in Egypt, Sudan, Spain, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Ukraine and Poland. Member of the International Society for Archaeological Prospection.
