Research interests:

My research focuses on the transmission of technological knowledge and the social organisation of pottery production in the Mediterranean region throughout Later Prehistory. Employing a multi-scalar chaîne opératoire perspective, I integrate ceramic petrography, manufacturing trace analysis, and other analytical techniques to explore long-term technological choices and networks between distinct communities of practice from the Late Neolithic to the Bronze Age.

Current project:

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the project ‘From the first to the last Mycenaeans in the area of the Gulf of Volos’ (PI: Bartłomiej Lis, Grant from the National Science Centre, under the program SONATA BIS, 2020/38/E/HS3/00512), exploring the provenance of imported Transport Stirrup Jars and other maritime transport containers retrieved at the Late Bronze Age harbour of Pefkakia in Thessaly (north-central Greece), using ceramic petrography as the main analytical method.
