Research interests:

Archaeological relic stands in the center of my research interests – whatever it says about the human past or the past of a particular place in which it has been found. To understand better and to reconstruct the context in the research which I lead I apply a wide spectrum of scientific methods dedicated to hard sciences and allow comprehensive elaboration of the relic and the archaeological site. Since 2006, thanks to the work in the team of the Laboratory of Bio- and Archaeometry of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology PAS I acquired experience in chemical and metallographic analyses of relics and soil samples. I observe and recognize old technologies by means of a scanning, optical and metallographic microscopes and X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. My archaeological skills were complemented by fieldworks practiced after I acquired my M. A. : rescue excavations and projects of noninvasive geophysical prospection.
